Biography

Katie discovered her passion for criminal defense after seeing first-hand the extreme injustices that so many people face in the system and the lifetime impact that getting caught in the system can have. She saw that without advocates and representative, individuals could be greatly harmed by the oppression of the criminal justice institution.

She began her career in 2015 as an investigator with the Public Defender's office in Denver. This work affirmed her dedication to individuals that are trying to defend themselves against the full weight and force of the Government.

Katie attended University of Denver Law School, where she continued her work with the Colorado State Public Defender's Office, with her most recent position being a Deputy State Public Defender at the Arapahoe Regional Trial Office. Katie is an experienced litigator, writer, and trial attorney who proudly maintains a reputation for never backing down when it comes to fiercely advocating for her clients.

Throughout her career, Katie has worked along the entire Front Range, trying a variety of cases ranging from misdemeanor/traffic/and DUI's to high-level drug felonies and sex assaults.

Katie joined LFM Defense to continue her career as a fierce advocate and counselor to individuals facing criminal charges.
