Sexual Offenses

| Nov 4, 2021 | Firm News |

A person who pleads to a DJ on a felony sex offense does not ALWAYS have to participate in SOMB (Sex Offender Management Board) treatment, do polygraphs and have no contact with minors.  A Judge can override probation on specific terms and conditions. Recently, a District Court Judge issued an Order that a person placed on a DJ for a felony sex offense did not have to participate in SOMB treatment and that the person could have a treatment provider outside of SOMB standards. It is always important to fight for a client’s rights. Every individual should be treated as an individual!
